As I do readings for my clients, I’ll be posting summaries of my typical interpretations for individual cards, hopefully developing a total library of meanings. This is my first entry!
The Ten of Cups is a card that often indicates domestic harmony. The fruits of your work in your close, personal relationships are paying off with an abundance of joy and contentment. As an outcome card, the Ten of Cups is very favourable!
This card can also indicate grand life plans, whether it be their contemplation or fruition. There is a clear vision of abundance and prosperity in the future, and a picture of exactly how you’d like to see your family learn and grow. Perhaps it is time to take stock of your family plans, and check in to make sure you are acting in alignment with your vision.
If this card shows up in a “now” position, you may want to look at how you’d like your family to manifest, and how it currently IS manifesting. Family can mean many things – whether it’s structured, based on sexual and parental relationships – or whether there’s little structure at all, and it’s based more in friendships and community. Family is where the love is! Now is a good time to appreciate the family that you have, and think about how your family will evolve. Our families are ever changing, as anything else in life!
As the suit of Cups represents the emotional realm, this card also indicates emotional satisfaction and a feeling of comfort and security. It can often symbolize the pinnacle of a particular emotional journey, or the completion of a phase of spiritual work. Rejoice in your growth!
If you are reading the card in a “reversed” position, or if the above doesn’t ring true, your family may need some attention and nurturing right now. Perhaps there has been some turmoil that needs to be resolved.
